The route

Start early from the car park. The first hour follows a forest road, then the path turns steep and rocky. The last stretch to the summit is secured with a fixed rope and needs a steady head.

Check the weather forecast at the hut before you leave. Thunderstorms build quickly in the afternoon, so aim to be back below the tree line by two o’clock.
